Slack 8 & KDE 2.2

G'day guys ...

I've been trying for days to find either
tarballs for slack or the source of KDE 2.2 and
can't seem to grab it from anywhere ...

Does someone have a working link to the
sources for me?

Cheers,
Tink

P.S.: Yes, I know 3.0.1 is out :P I just chose not to be
"cutting edge" because I don't like to bleed ;)

You can get the slackware 8.0 at this site: ftp://ftp.slackware.com/pub/slackware/slackware-8.0, but before you download visit their home page at www.slackware.com for some announcement.
And as for the kde-2.2.2 at this site if possible stick to this kde version because it's more stable than the kde 3.0 http://download.kde.org/stable/2.2.2/

This is probably your closest slack mirror, it has the kde source tarball for 2.2.2 (dont forget to install qt2 and the other required packages from kde.org first).

Not Found
The requested URL /pub/kde/stable/2.2.2/ was not found on this server.

*sigh*
It's depressing :( ... the Linux community seems to become more like MS,
not supporting (or even supplying ;}) older versions once a new release
is out ....

Thanks for the try, though!

Cheers,
Tink

I wish I could access external CVS-servers
through our firewall :( at work ...

I don't really want to get 150+ Megs with my modem at home ;(
