I started using Linux a year ago and the first distro I started using was Slack 7.9. Anyways, I was a dumbass then and did not partition well. I want to upgrade 8.0 to 8.1. Will it be a bitch because I only have one partition or will it be just as easy. I'm running Kernel 2.2.9 which is really old and does not support the full capabilites of half my hardware (ATA 100, good DVD support etc). Would it be best for me to just do a clean install?
You might just want to consider doing a clean install. As far as I know, Slackware Installation doesn't have really an upgrade option, unless you wanted to just update all the packages manually.
