Slack 10.1 with 2.6.12 pcmcia issue

Having trouble with the new kernel. Going from 2.4.29 to 2.6.12. After compile and reboot, My pcmcia card manager says there are no sockets found. This is a Compaq evo1020v with a Orinoco gold 802.11b wireless card.

when you compiled your kernel did you make sure you added pcmica support if you remake and try again but then again you may of compiled the kernel without support of wireless or capibtleby if you still get the problem and it worked before update to 2..6.10 using the second slackware disk (Seeing as it comes with all the modules etc..)
