qt-creator-4.12.3-x86_64-1_SBo seg faults

Installed here on 14.2/x86_64 are qt5-5.12.8-x86_64-1_SBo and qt-creator-4.12.3-x86_64-1_SBo. When I try to load the latter (using /usr/bin/designer-qt5 it seg faults.

Just rebuilt/re-installed both but it still segfaults. The Qt4 designer will load but not the qt5 version.

How can I isolate the source of this issue?

If you're refering to esigner-qt5, no.

$ designer-qt5
Segmentation fault

Ok thats unfortunate.
i hope someone with more computing power than me can confirm the issue and help solving it, qtcreator is a huge build.
You could try using the official binary from qt in the meantime, it comes with the designer embedded.

Have you recompiled QBS? qt-creator also depends on qbs. The build order is qt5 -> qbs -> qt-creator.

No, I had not done this. I had rebuilt Qt5. Just now I removed the older qbs and rebuilt/re-installed it, rebuilt and installed qt-creator-4.12.3-x86_64-1_SBo, and removed ~/.config/QtProject/Designer.conf.

Unfortunately, this did not resolve the problem:
$ designer-qt5
Segmentation fault

Thanks for the thought. More ideas are certainly welcome.

I have similar issues on -current + qt5 with otter-browser (Git build) and falkon (packages).
Once I try to run it, it segfaults.
Ditto with fpc, it builds fine, but no luck on running it.
qt5ct and duckstation (Git) run fine, oddly.
So does xpdf, which now is built againt qt5.
