Printing otf fonts

I have to use an otf font that my company has specified for all printing. The font is a bit undersized compared with other similar san-serif fonts.

I have now got X11 on my Slackware-current system to accept otf fonts with valid fonts.dir and fonts.scale files.
Koffice 1.5 displays correctly, but printing to a H4100 postscript cups printer is garbled as a font substitution has been made.
Scribus works fine so the printer can do the job.
cups is set to embed fonts.
