@volkerdi, to note that "Nuclear Dutch" I do not think/consider it as a "potentially insulting nickname" but it is an appreciation nickname, being aware of his huge amount of work done, like he's nuclear powered.
And at least in Europe, we use to express our appreciation within nicknames too, since Medieval Age at least.
I have to hand it to you Darth, you always have a reason why whatever you were saying wasn't meant to be inappropriate.
Now try sticking it in quotes ("nuclear dutch"), search Google, and enjoy the first hit which is on urban dictionary.
Just wondering why KDE devs decided that using kate is more danger than using vi or emacs?
Why these cli editors still allowed when kate is blocked?
In my opinion there are much more chances to damage system files when using emacs than when using kate.
BTW the same root blockage (in Gentoo) for kwrite and Dolphin.
Seems root shouldn't navigate over the filesystem...
At least now you know what should be done to stop this craziness.
Eric have applied the patch to dolphin (same root problem), but not to kate.
it's me, who told him where to find the two patch
From your statement, to understand that Eric Hameleers is since some time aware that also the Kate and Kwrite refuse to work as root, he knew about the patch and he chosen deliberately to do no action against?

General Mattis is a retired U.S. Marine Corps General and the bulldog has long been associated with the Marine Corps. At least going back to World War One when the Germans nicknamed the Marines, "Devil Dogs."
Then there was a Marine General, Chesty Puller, who had a Bulldog as a pet, and, I don't remember how it started, but the English Bulldog is the Marine mascot.
Plus, there are many Marines and former Marines, wearing a U.S.M.C. tattoo with a Bulldog in the center.
I was just reading up on Puller and didn't know he was a "mustanger" and made it all the way up the ladder to Lt. General (3 stars). I don't know if any "mustanger" made it to four stars.
Apropos of nothing, aviation buffs also refer to a series of aircraft from McDonnell/Douglas as the "Mad Dogs." They are based on the original Douglas Aircraft Company, DC-9s.
McDonnell/Douglas merged with Boeing in 1997 and, for a short while, the DC-9/MD-80/90s, etc. where known as the Boeing 717. They are no longer made, but some airlines are still using them and probably will until it is no longer economically practical to fly them.
