Pine

I have recently switched to Slackware after using SuSE for some time. When I was using SuSE, I had no problem using pine to send mail. Configured it with my display name and smtp server (mail.isp.com) and had no problems.

But now with Slack, I do the same exact thing, and I can't send mail. The strange thing is, I have KMail configured to use sendmail and I can send mail out from there with no problems.

Not quite sure what the problem is. Anyone have any advice for me?

Any certain error messages?

Nope. It just isn't sending. I looked through logs and I dont see any error messages at all.

Is this just a send problem, or is receive not working either?

Have you checked /var/log/messages to see if there's anything reported?

I recall a similar posting (not here), I'll try to dredge it up from my memory banks.
