Should it not be <patron>?I did not find the word <patreon> in Merriam Webster.

Not trolling, just been bugging me for a while,thanks a million for your steady contributions Cwizardone.

Probably the name of site <patreon> is a portmanteau word for "Patrons Pantheon"

Feel free to contact the owners of patreon.com to ask for details and tell them about Merriam Webster, because I doubt that Mr. Volkerding has a saying in the naming of that site. It's not his site.
