Package Installation

Hi,

I've install package a. I tried pkgtool to install the rest of the packages. They are in my Windows directory. Now I can't seems to find them. I think I've mounted that during setup. Is there any easy way to find that directory? I use ls and all I see is loadlin16c.

Thanks

If you mounted the windows directory then you would "cd /mnt/" and then do another ls to see if it's there. Your ls is just showing you the contents of your /root directory.

To elaborate on above:

If you mounted your windows directory, you can find out by doing a "df" at shell prompt and see where exactly it is mounted at, then "cd" to where your packages are then to a "pkgtool" from there.

If you haven't mounted your windows directory, you might want to read about how to make make it mount automaticly on bootup (hint: read about the "fstab" file). Do an "fdisk -l" to identify your windows partition, then create a mount point directory for it somewhere like "mkdir /mnt/windows", then mount your windows there: "mount -t vfat /dev/hda1 /mnt/windows", then proceed with the steps given above.

Hope this helps.
