Other sub-menu disappears randomly in xfce

Sometimes I have an "Other" menu item in xfce, sometime I don't, I have not been playing with the menu configuration as it is borked enough without me having a go at it. Has anyone else seen this behaviour, or knows what causes it?

This message has now bumped to the top twice without reply. So I am answering it myself so it will die a dignified death.

Maybe this would interest you http://foo-projects.org/pipermail/xf...er/025898.html

PS1. I just posted this cause its sort of relevant but i doubt it will help you.
PS2. I havent seen anything like that myself but i rarely visit the menu and most of the apps i have installed dont come with .desktop files.

Thanks sahko. It is just an annoying intermittent fault, which I can get around, but I would rather it was fixed. Perhaps in the words of the XFCE faithful "maybe in XFCE 4.8".

I have this problem too... Using XFCE 4.6.2 on Slack 13.37 32bit.

Have you found a solution yet?

very annoying because I have quite a lot of shortcuts in this Other sub menu...
