Unhappy Opera crashes X

I have tried posting in opera`s forums, however nobody had any idea what to do.

Opera seems to restart X when I visit E.g. news.google.com. Some pages do work, some do not.
Everything was OK before.
I`ve tried updating both KDE and Xorg but without luck.
Tried removing ~/.opera, installing both shared and static versions of opera v8.50. No luck.
What`s interesting is that opera is running ok with different user (other X instance). However when I`ve tried running opera with su it crashed again. This makes no sense.

Original thread at opera`s forums: http ://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=111141

ANY help would be appreciated.

?

Running graphical apps under X as root in a normal users' X session generally doesn't work. By my understanding, it is designed that way for security. Why would you need to run a web browser as root anyway?

Run it as the user you logged in as.
