Opera Browser not updated on Slackbuild

Hi

Looks like Slackbuild has not updated the Opera browser for almost a year.

Latest Opera is like 98. But Slackbuild is still on 89.

Thanks!

Email the maintainer and ask him to update it.

Might just be an oversight since I know that the maintainer have kept other scripts up to date.

In this case, since the script basically just repackages the .deb package, you can download the latest .deb and edit the script so that the version number is the correct.

I just built opera-98.0.4759.39 without issues. Didn't install, though (I'm not an opera fan) so no guarantees.

When I was using Opera, I used ruario's script

I just built opera-105.0.4970.21, using latest .deb package and modified the slackbuild script.

It seems to be working fine

yes, I updated the opera, opera-ffmpeg-codecs, opera-developer and opera-developer-ffmpeg-codecs because they have been abandoned by their maintainer, so I noted it in the script.
if someone is interested in maintaining them please step in or they will be removed...

it's best to remove it now and leave just main opera package unless someone is interested to take care of it
