NOTIFICATION KNotify 19

I've asked about something simular, but did not know the whole thing, so.......

'NOTIFICATION KNotify 19'

The box that comes up, that is one of three boxes, has one of these three notices in it:

activate

transnew

"or"

on all desktops

Anyone have any idea what they mean or how to get rid of them??
When I asked before they where only on my 'user' desktop, now they are on my 'root' desktop when I "startx" as "root" as well. That's would be using the KDE gui.
I turned off the sound server and rebooted the computer and this is when they appeared. The sound hasn't worked at all since I first installed Slackware 10.1. The sound working or not is no big deal, I can live without it. So, what needs to be done to fix this problem????????????

.........sorry 'bout the caps, but that's the way it's wrote......

Check ~/.kde/knotifyrc in your home directory.
you should see something like this........
Code:
[StartProgress]
Arts Init=true
KNotify Init=true
Use Arts=true
