Motherboard Vendor Logo Doesn't Display After Uninstalling rEFInd

I installed rEFInd to see what it was like, didn't really care for it and uninstalled it.

I use grub in Slack, and now when I reboot the box, it goes past the motherboard's boot logo and straight to grub.

As mentioned on rEFInd's site, after uninstalling, there are pieces leftover that need to be manually deleted, I removed everything, then I reinstalled grub.

grub-install /dev/sda

Then updated grub;

grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

Since I dual boot with Win11, I went so far as reinstalling Windows, deleting all the partions, and recreating them, and reinstalling grub and updating it over again, which meant deleting/recreating /dev/sda2 which is the EFI partion. I didn't touch the Slack partition...

Even after going through all these steps, when I reboot, it still goes straight to the grub menu, no motherboard vendor logo appears.

If I boot into the bios with F2, when I come out of the bios, I'll see the mobo logo in situations like this, so it does appear.

Maybe this seems strange, but the mobo boot logo is enabled by default, it always appeared then grub.

I'm running an Asus ROG Strix B550-F Gaming mobo, which always showed the ROG logo.

Anyone have any ideas?

P.S. When I had rEFInd installed, it did the same thing, it booted straight to rEFInd past the mobo's vendor logo.

Look in the BIOS options. The full screen BIOS logo is enabled/disabled by an option.

That doesn't do anything, other than change the scale of the logo, which makes it look more stretched out, like it's displaying at 800x600, which doesn't look really nice.

P.S. I did try full screen to see if by chance it would help, it didn't.

I just disabled Fast Boot in the BIOS, I certainly see the logo all the time now. :P

I'll just go with this for now, seems good enough.
