latest current 64 updates and vbox 4.2.8 xorg server crash

Hi, I applied Mar 14 updates and now X crashes, no screens found, seems vbox is at xorg server 1.13, slackware current xorg server is now 1.14.

I'm thinking I could downgrade but I've never had to downgrade anything before, is there a way to downgrade the latest x upgrades with current?

I thought if I could get x back I'd blacklist the latest x upgrades until vbox catches up.

Thanks

snapshots

I have a couple week old copy of the vdi I've reverted back to, however, it seems I should be using snapshots in case something like this happens again.

I have done just that after finding out that xorg-server-1.14 is not supported by AMD's proprietary driver. I got the packages from a 'current' mirror that had not sync'd yet. I forgot which it was, but have a look in http://mirrors.slackware.com/mirrorlist/

By the way: I have absolutely no idea whether this is going to solve your problem. I only wanted to comment that at the moment a downgrade is possible.

Hi BroX, my 2 week old copy reload is working fine. I blacklisted xf86-input/video, xorg-... odd that virtualbox has to catch up.

I have 2 13.1, 2 14.0 stable computers all running fine. I have a 32 and 64 vbox current to stay current.

It was fun and interesting leading up to the release of 14.0 last August into September, I don't want to miss out on anything like that.
