[SOLVED] KWin desktop effects too slow ( after -current updates 31 Jan 2011)

I have just done updates of 31 January 2011 to my Slackware 32 bit install using the nouveau driver.
After these updates, when using the KDE desktop and pushing the mouse to the top left corner to see thumbnails of all open windows, I find that the movement of the mouse from one to the other is perceptibly slow (~1 second) and I get a popup message saying KWin desktop effects too slow and that desktop effects have been suspended.
This may be related to the updates of mesa or nouveau packages.
Has anybody else seen this?

Thanks for responding grissiom.
However I have just reinstalled the xf86-video-nouveau-8bb82312-i486-1 and mesa-7.10_84b857e-i486-1 packages and now all is OK. Some unexplained glitch in the upgrade.
Sorry for the false alarm.
Will mark this as solved.
