KDE 3.1 Desktop Icon Question(Slack 9.1)

Heyas,

I just downliaded Slackware 9.1 last night and got KDE to launch. However, the icons on the Desktop run when I single click them, as if they were links on a webpage. On my Mandrake computer, this does not happen, you need to double click the icons to launch them. How would I go about making KDE on Slackware to work like it does on my Mandrake computer? So, I need to double click to launche the icon.

Thanks,
Chris

KDE works that way by default, and Mandrake is one of many distributions that tries to be a bit Windows-ish (I assume). A quick look at the KDE control center would probably have led you to peripherals -> mouse...

Thanks a lot, nvn. I was looking in LookNFeel and Desktop Behavior and all those groups, didn't think to check Mouse :P.

I also decided I like the look of that KDE more than the one on my Mandrake box. If I were to update KDE, since I'm sure I have an older one, would I be able to use the KDE appearance like on a Slack box instead of the default Mandrake one?

Thanks,
Chris

Slackware does not alter the appearance of KDE or Gnome or .... Whatever appearance KDE offers on 3.2 will be available for you to use. If KDE changed the appearance from 3.1.5 to 3.2 then that is what you will see.
