How to use FwCutter with Slackware

I have jsut downloaded fw-cutter and currently trying to get my BCM4306 integrated wireless card working. i have also downloaded wl_apsta.o and bcmwl5.sys.
However everytime i try to run it either brings up that i have a wrong MD5 sum or it will just bring up the help menu.
Any help on how to use this program is much appreciated.
