I do not understand why everybody wants to use GUI apps as root. What is your reason? If you must edit a file, the preferred way is to do it within an Xterm, using nano/ed/vi whatever.

ok I solved my gtk thing, just didn't put the # before the proxy lines I wrote in /bash.bashrc... so noob... bye
