error while loading shared libraries: libacl.so.1: cannot open shared object file:


Hi,

when i update all my packages from slackware 14 to -current, i got these errors with many packages, any ideas?

sed: error while loading shared libraries: libacl.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
sed: error while loading shared libraries: libacl.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
sed: error while loading shared libraries: libacl.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

That library is provided by the packages aaa_elflibs and acl.
Try reinstalling those and check if sed works again.

You should also consider to reinstall the previous upgraded current-packages as I am not sure how the missing sed-functionality could have borked your system. Did you use slackpkg?

aaa_elflibs should be not upgraded or reinstalled (it could copy over newer library versions) as says its description.

@fl0: Maybe you didn't use the recommended way to upgrade to -current?

I would follow these instructions.

You're right, don't do that. Sorry, that slipped my mind.

Hi,

i tryed the manual way and use the instructions in the UPGRADE.TXT.

i have reinstalled slackware64 14 from scratch and now i try the upgrade first in a vm (i know the slackpkg way, but i would try the manual way)
