epson tm220 dotmatrix problem in slackware

hi !

i have a problem to use my printer its epson tm220 its a dot matrix printer.

i have installed the driver using rpm package that i convert to txz, coz epson only provide suse and ubuntu binaries for this printer.

After that i check the printer in auto search with CUPS, but CUPS didnt find any printer.

but, if i add printer manually from CUPS menu printer->add printer, the printer shows, but it ask connection, i put usb://EPSON/EPSON%20TM-U220 in there, and CUPS ask the ppd file and i provide that from epson website.

but after that the printer didnt respond.why?

this is result lsusb -v

What is the output of lpr status? Does the printer show in the printer list using the http://localhost:631? Also have you looked at any of the log files in /var/log/cups?
