Dell wireless card help

Alright i installed slackware 10.2 on an inspiron 6000.
No floppy drive and just a dvd rom and usb ports.
I have a Dell Wireless 1370 WLAN Mini-PCI C .
Now the problem is slackware 10.2 doesnt seem to be reading my card. How exactly do i go about getting the card readable and usable for slackware 10.2

According to the link:

In order to use the IPW2100 driver you will need the following:

1. Linux (of course) with a 2.6.4+* kernel [link]. See README.ipw2100 for information on specific options required to be enabled in the kernel.
2. Wireless Extensions (v16) and Tools (v27-pre23) [link]
3. The IPW2100 driver. You can obtain the latest development snapshot below.
4. The IPW2100 binary firmware image. The firmware can be obtained here.

For instructions on how to build and use the driver, please see the INSTALL document.

If you have an Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection adapter, you will want to go to the IPW2200 project at http://ipw2200.sf.net.

So you are required to have a 2.6.4 and above kernel and u have to enable wirelss support in the kernel. And then you have to build the modules/firmware. Naturally you have to get these sources installed into your hdd.
