Angry Dell Powedge and aacraid drivers

Could anyone put me onto a faq that will help me get Slack 7.1 installed on a Dell Poweredge 1650 with the aacraid drivers? I have tried the install diskette from http://domsch.com/linux/ and it did not work for me. Maybe I'm doin something wrong. Not much experience with raids.

The following is for “a RAID system” and Slackware 8.0, not 7.1, but there may be some generic information that could help you: http://slacksite.com/slackware/raid.html

The webpage http://domsch.com/linux specifically mentions Slackware 8.0 under "Hardware RAID -> AACRAID/PERCRAID -> Distributions -> Slackware 8.0". The URL http://www.gavinroy.com/Linux/aacraid.s is given in that section. Further down the page a URL is given for the megaraid2 boot image for Slackware 8.1 on a PE2600. Looks like you're going to have to upgrade your Slack. It is quite likely that support for the PE1650 controller has been merged into the latest 2.4 kernel.
