J obtain the same message from my computer when j run it with a cd to install slakware, the strange thing is that the message come in whithout hd installed on pc, i.e. with only the CDROM drive installed. J tried with several CDROM players. J think it is the mother board, but is there an action to fix the problem?
My guess is that you have a broken installation DVD. Before burning the .iso image, did you check it against the md5sum, or even better, did you check the .asc file against the official Slackware GPG key?

Hi Henrik
in fact, I tried with various disks, the strange thing is that with various slackware it gives the same error, but with another Linux, for example Trinity rescue disk, the operating system loads, even if it gives other problems, I think the PC is too old.
Thanks for reply
