Compiling VLC 1.0.1 for 13.0 fails

Hi... I am trying to install VLC on Slackware 13.0... Checking out Alien Bob's package repository I see there is no pre-compiled VLC package for 13.0 as of yet... so I downloaded the slackbuild:

Code:
http://connie.slackware.com/~alien/slackbuilds/vlc/build/vlc.SlackBuild
... and attempted to compile VLC... but the build fails with:

Code:
checking for libtwolame.a in /tmp/build/tmp-vlc/twolame-0.3.12... no
configure: error: cannot find /tmp/build/tmp-vlc/twolame-0.3.12/libtwolame/.libs/libtwolame.a, make sure you compiled libtwolame in /tmp/build/tmp-vlc/twolame-0.3.12
sed: can't read vlc-config: No such file or directory
I checked and the slackbuild did download the twolame tarball.

Has anyone successfully built and installed VLC on 13.0? How?

Thanks for any help!

Try installing twolame prior to building VLC.

You can use the 12.2 version of my VLC package easily on Slackware 13.0

But I will build a package for 13.0 as soon as I get my life sorted again.

I used Alienbob's slackbuild on a fresh install of 13 (64bit) with no problem.

I downloaded all the source files and the slackbuild into one directory, edited the slackbuild for x86_64, made it executable, and ran it.

Third attempt was the charm. I downloaded all the directory contents as per above and ran the Slackbuild... and it compiled successfully. Thanks!
