cmake ignoring 'LIB_SUFFIX'

I am trying to compile Mygui3.0 on Slackware 13.37 with multilibs

When I run cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX:PATH=/usr -DLIB_SUFFIX=64 -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release -DLOCALSTATE_INSTALL_DIR=/var -DSYSCONF_INSTALL_DIR=/etc ..

I get the message

CMake Warning: The variable, 'LIB_SUFFIX', specified manually, was not used during the generation.
CMake Warning: The variable, 'LOCALSTATE_INSTALL_DIR', specified manually, was not used during the generation.
CMake Warning: The variable, 'SYSCONF_INSTALL_DIR', specified manually, was not used during the generation.

Is there something I am doing wrong

Regards

Lawrence

you do nothing wrong
unfortunately the cmake files of mygui do not care about the variables.
either you fix the cmake build files see (CMake/InstallResources.cmake) in the source, if so please send a patch

or build normal, use make install DESTDIR=/a/tmp/dir , and fix file layout in /a/tmp/dir afterwards, pack it and install it via pkg tools
