Yes, great beer. When I lived in Highgate the off licence around the corner used to sell the dubbel, tripel and quad. I had some good times in that flat.

A little late to the thread, but I was US Army. Got out in 1992 as part of the we-won-the-cold-war-so-we-don't-need-your-ass-anymore drawdown. There was a 1990 version of the drawdown which was temporarily canceled due to Saddam's invasion of Kuwait.

Hi Richard, US Navy/Marines here...looks like we served during similar times.

More army types than realised. Pretty interesting.

There has been a severely concerning lack of beer posting in this thread of late, so I will try to remedy that. It is Saturday night, after all.

I spend most of my week down in Sussex these days and this is one of the local best - a truly excellent 6.5% IPA. One of my discoveries of the year last year, and I can't get enough of it.

Posting from Ubuntu, sorry. It's the thought that counts.

Slacking on two machines tonight. I've never done the dual setup thing before but the work I'm doing at the moment greatly benefits from it, and the keyboard of the Ultrabook is so comfortable to use.

Also this Master Brew from old English brewery Shepherd Neame is one of my new favourite finds. Only 4% but a huge amount of flavour. For those of us working hard tonight... cheers.

Saturday evening + good beer + Slackware, a good combination of a good day.

In the background you see me playing Grim Dawn with excellent performance. On top of that you see Trappistes Rochefort 10 with ABV=11.3% perfectly served at 12 degree celsius.

Trappistes Rochefort is an astonishing choice! What good taste Slackware users have.

Hello, long time no cheers. It is time to drink a beer and cheer for Slackware and the team! Thank you for your amazing work!

This time, I try a DIPA from Sudden Death (dont worry, it is not that bad as the name say, I am ok). Lovely taste, although not so strong, pretty soft and chill, like a chill Saturday evening.

Cheers!

Not much for beer, but will be cheering with a stock pot full of cabbage, ham and potato soup later today. It is on the stove right now, of course as with all soups it will be even better tomorrow.
Yummy

Simmer food rocks! Love to visit some inn when I cross the German border to buy some cheap beers:

And perhaps get some:

Along with a cold Beck's.

Enjoy! I don't drink either. We're having leftovers, hot butter chicken. Very good indeed! Cheers for Slackware!

Long time no beers. Today, I tasted the best Imperial Stout so far, amazingly good. It is brewed by Hop Hooligans, one of the best brewery in Romania. This particular stout is having a ABV of 15.5% which is undoubtedly clouded by an amazing spectrum of delightful chocolate shades in combination with a glimpse of marshmallows following you to the end.

Cheers Slackware!
