Flash 8 doesn't exist for Linux (Macromedia decided that they would skip straight to 9 on Linux, not that they've realesed that yet), so that's out.
If you've got WMV streamed over mms, you can use mmsripper to download the file, and then use mencoder to put it into a DVD ready format. I'm not sure what the command for mencoder is, since I can never understand it. If it's WMV7, or 8, though, you can also use ffmpeg, which is easier. Just do ffmpeg -i file.wmv -target ntsc-dvd file.mpeg. If you're in Europe, you'd do pal-dvd, instead of ntsc-dvd.
Once you've got file.mpeg, you'll have to use various other tools to get it onto a dvd. I recommend DVDStyler, but there are plenty of others available.

thanks for the info-I have ffmpeg now, but am having trouble getting it to stream and cannot find the wmv files on the above site. I've been doing wget -r on the site for hours and it's still going...everything I have is an html, aspx, or picture file. Can anybody find the wmv file there or have the URL to use so that ffmpeg can stream?

ok-I now have a mpeg file made with ffmpeg that looks good in mplayer. I have DVD Styler installed and set up to burn a NTSC 720x480 DVD since I'm in the US. The videos seem to burn ok and will play from the DVD with mplayer on my pc. When I put the DVD into my square TV's DVD player it won't play but gives me an error on the TV screen about checking the connection. My TV is a regular fullscreen...not one of the newer widescreens. Maybe that's why it won't play?

Figured out the problem-the menu that DVD Styler creates is not playable by DVD players. The videos play on my TV if I delete the menu. I'd like to have a menu-any ideas?

Got it working with DVD Stlyer. It was a menu thing. I read through the DVD Styler forums and it seems that some DVD player (mine is a couple years old) need a VMmenu on the disc. Plays fine now!
