Aha, nice links! Actually, I hadn't seen them before Well, now my prompts in tcsh and bash are (almost) identical:

set prompt="%Bmierin%b:%n %T %~ > "

and

PROMPT_COMMAND="TIME=\`date +%H:%M\` && PS1='\[\033[0;34m\]mierin\[\033[0m\]:\u \$TIME \w > '"
