[SOLVED] Atheros AR9287

Hi all,

I recently had to rebuild my Slackware system, and in the process I installed the said card. I have read about a madwifi driver for Atheros cards, but have only been able to find versions for Slackware 12.*

Does anybody have any experience using Atheros cards on Slackware64 13.37?

Have you tried using the standard ath9k kernel driver which is supposed to support this card? As described in http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Drivers/ath9k/

Though the ath9k driver is buggy and seems nearly unusable with many 3.x.x kernels, including 3.2.21, by singular good fortune the ath9k version supplied with 2.6.37.6 in Slackware 13.37 is exceptionally stable. I rely on it for a wireless card with an AR5008 chip.
