"apt-get" of fluxbox?

How do I install apt-get using fluxbox? Or is there a [good/better] alternative?

I try doing 'installpkg', 'upgradepkg', 'pkgtool', none of them are installed for me to use.

Fluxbox is a window manager - you can't install software with it. The Slackware version of apt-get is called slapt-get and can be downloaded from linuxpackages.net. Be careful with it though as it is easy to hose a system using automatic upgrade tools.

You will need to open a terminal, 'cd' to where you downloaded the package and 'installpkg slapt-get-xxx.tgz' as root. (xxx is version number).

Installpkg, upgradepkg and pkgtool are commands that are only available as root, not normal user. There is also slackpkg.
