APM problem


i have some trouble with APM, nothing shows me the state of the battery, percentege left and time left.
i tried "apm -m" it shows "AC online , no system battery"
wmapm doesn't show anything at all

i'am using slack 10, kernel 2.4.26, apm enabled
on toshiba satelllite2430.
any one can help, thanx in advance.

have you got the apmd daemon running? Do apmd as root.
