32-current 2010-08-27 - segfaults - zlib. glew package version

Hi! This is my first post. Firstly I'd like to say that I'm really very happy to join this fantastic community, for the best linux distro (alias Slackware)!

I've been experiencing a "Segmentation fault" on ["slackware-current" 32bit], running the jack audio server:
Code:
jackd -dfirewire -r48000 -n128 -p2
According to the thread 64-current 2010-08-27 - segfaults - zlib? no: libxml2, I've solved downgrading the zlib to the 1.2.3 version.

...and a note regarding the "glew" package.....:
"slackpkg" didn't upgrade the glew package to the new version (1.5.5), as reported in the ChangeLog. I've noticed that the glew version on the repository is still the "1.5.1"...!

I think the safest way is to downgrade to zlib-1.2.3 or upgrade your libxml2 to 2.7.7. This is due to new zlib requires newer version of libxml2.

regarding glew, i have sent email to Pat since this morning and indeed, it was missing or forgotten to be released. I think both packages will be included in the next batch of updates.

Stay tune

Pat & crew are aware of lack of the updated glew package in 32bit current.

Thanks for your answers! ...so, we wait for the next "ChangeLog" ....

In the meantime I haven't had other issues ...probably the "zlib downgrade" has been enough!

/slackware64-current/source/x/glew/glew.SlackBuild

./glew.SlackBuild: line 63: cd: glew: Arquivo ou diretório não encontrado (File or directory not found)

-cd glew || exit 1
+cd glew-$VERSION || exit 1
