well, for your mouse wheel try with a line like this in the "InputDevice" section of your xorg.conf file (and restart X for it to take effect):

Code:
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
just my two cents...

to add mouse scrolling support, you have to edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf.

So, either use gedit or kedit, or some similar text editor to open that up, or open it from the command line with vi or mcedit.

Now, navigate to the area where you configre your mouse. It should look something like this

Identifier "Mouse1"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "ExplorerPS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/mouse"

And add this line :

Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"

That should do it! Next time you restart your WM, scrolling will work. It's kinda important to have the correct Protocol, though. For instance, I have simple "PS/2" by default, and I had to change it to ExplorerPS/2 before it would work. Just try adding the ZAxisMapping line first, though, and it should probably work fine.

I don't know about the one hour shutting down thing. I guess it could be cron? Or something physical?

But once again, I really wouldn't know. I'll leave that for someone smarter to answer.

For the 2, surelly a problem from motherboard like cpu running too hot or defect in electronic component, open the pc case, power on and see what happen

You should keep the case closed-dust buildup can short out electronics and cause things to stop working.
