mdb

I need to install mdb on my Linux RedHat9 OS. Does anyone know the best download to use or if this is at all posible? AI have tried installing mdbtools 0.5.0 source tarball but this says it requires glib 2.0 and I have had trouble in the past messing with these files.

glib is available here...
http://www.gtk.org/

There are rpm's for mdbtools available here (instead of tarballs)...

Thanks for the links, I was aware of them as I have downloades them and tried to configure the mdb tools after downloading glib2.6.1.

When I attempt to configureth mdb tools I get the error message" checking for GLIB - version >= 2.0.0... no" Any idea why???

Thanks,

Peter

That's why I'd try the mdbtools rpm first. It's just easier that way, but if you insist on compiling yourself...

I suspect that it's just that the configure script can't find where you installed glib. Run ./configure --help & see if there's an option like "--glib-path=" or something like that to tell it where you have installed glib.

The .rpm worked great.

Thanks bro!

I always run into problems when I hit the glib and dev packages.
