restoring defaults in seamonkey

I have installed puppy on one of my laptops, but need to get back to default settings in seamonkey as there is something wrong the changes I made in preferences. Does anyone know how?

Additionally, has anyone put a later version of seamonkey in puppy & how?

Thanks

It is stored in /home/user/.mozilla directory
Delete or rename it, and restart seamonkey

The only folders I can find is /usr/lib/seamonkey1.1.11 and /usr/lib/seamonkey1.1.11 (which looks like a shortcut).

Can these be safely deleted? It may be better at this stage to install a newer version of seamonkey.

There is also one in /usr/local/bin/defaultbrowser which links directly to the internet.

Is a hidden directory.
Enable "view hidden files" in your file browser

Thanks- this has worked. It was a hidden files issue.

I'm looking to replace this version of seamonkey with the latest one, so what is the best method?

There was a little more to this than I thought. I used this as a guide:

http://www.seamonkey-project.org/doc...#install_linux

Basically did this:

rm -r mozilla and seamonkey
burn the latest version of seamonkey on another laptop
copy the cd files to a new directory mkdir seamonkey-tmp and extract the files in here
run the seamonkey installer which creates usr/local/seamonkey and ~/.mozilla.

Have managed to run seamonkey from /usr/local/seamonkey/seamonkey but the problem now is that I can't seem to link this to the 'browse' icon on the desktop, while keeping the original icon (if I change in Edit Item 'Clicking the item opens:' to /usr/local/seamonkey/seamonkey, I lose the browse icon). This should be something simple, but any ideas?

Thanks

right click on the icon, choose "set icon"
click on the 'file icon' on the desktop
go to "puppy reference'
make your pick from the available icons, and drag it into the window from "file icon"

Yep, this has all worked now. I found the icon for browse from /usr/local/lib/x11/pixmaps/www48.png

In fact I have just found this on the seamonkey site which explains the installation process for Installation with the SeaMonkey Installer:
http://www.seamonkey-project.org/rel...7/installation

The other thing I can't seem to find is official documentation relating to preferences in seamonkey. Whilst I have made my own adjustments, it would be good to know if there's some good documentation out there.

Although most of the security features/options in seamonkey are obvious, it will be good to have an extra resource like this - thanks. It's ashame it's not a more popular browser as it's very good on allowing users to make their own adjustments.
