Hi LQ Gang,
I am a brand new MEPIS user as well. I have a problem I would really like a little help with please. I installed a 2nd hard drive on my custom built computer (P4 2.4Ghz-Via MoBo) and then installed MEPIS 6.0 on it. I've manage to fix most of the bugs I have encountered so far, but have a bug I just can't seem to fix. As I was installing MEPIS the install program asked if I wanted to add a feature that would allow me to select the OS before the boot up. I have XP on the original hard drive and of course MEPIS on the 2nd new HD. Somehow I have not yet discovered how to boot to one or the other OS as I hoped I might. After reading a great about this configuration option I'm still at a loss. Does anyone have a fix for me please? Thanks for your help.

Well I have found a fix for my boot problem and it works great. If you are excepting new questions at this time I have another problem I could use some help with? I have a NVIDIA GeForce 5200 video card on my PC and can not seem to get any other resolution than I600 x 1200. I have try a number of fixes without success. Can anyone help or direct me to another source? Thanks

jrmelton - I have moved your posts into their own thread. For future reference, if your problem is a follow on or is identical to the problem in the original post, feel free to add to it. If your problem is completely different, you would be better served by starting your own thread.

Welcome to LQ

Are you using the driver which came with Mepis or the one from nvidia's website? The one from nvidia may well be what you need.

Thanks XavierP, I'll give that a try. I'll report back as soon as I have a result.
