how to change distribution logo?

Hi.
I just saw this nice new feature of LQ, the distro logo. It is cool, but I just couldn't find where can I change my current one. I have a penguin head instead of the distro logo (I submitted which distro I use).
Would you be so nice to tell me where is it possible to change that?

You mean the distribution logo that is on the lower left of the member part of the post? On your post there are two logos there, one is a penguin head and the other one is a penguin with a question mark on it. Those are the ones that you want to change?

I think that they may not have the logo for your distribution, so if you have the correct logo for it you may want to contact LQ about it.

There is not editable option to change that display, it is automatically set by the information your browser sends to the LQ server every time you load a page. Some distributions don't send any data by default (I.E. Slackware), and others simply aren't well known enough to have an icon yet.

However, you can edit the information sent to LQ from your browser's configuration, which will allow you to specify any distribution you want. Assuming your distribution is in the database, you can use the method mentioned here to add it's name to your useragent string.

There are several threads regarding this.
The logo is extracted from the info sent by the browser you use.
If the logo is a black pinguin, the correct info can't be retrieved.
Since you use debian, type
In firefox or iceweasel:

about:config

in the address bar
goto

Code:

general.useragent.extra.firefox

add debian like this

Code:

Debian/Firefox/3.5.2

Thanks for your quick replies.

Sorry if wasn't absolutely clear, but I was speaking about the logo which is in the bottom left corner. The penguin head. Actually, I did mention "penguin head" in my OP, so I thought no confusion will occur. Sorry.

My distro is Debian (Lenny) as mentioned in my profile on the left, so I guess it is in the database. Thanks for all your help.

Oh, yes. I'm using opera. The FF method won't work. Any other way?

check out that thread that repo linked to, when this feature was being discussed originally people who use opera posted solutions, I think.

You need to restart opera for it to start working.
