Thumbs up TV out with ATI Rage128 on Mdk10 works

To get the TV out option to work under Mandrake 10 (download edition) using XFree86-4.3-32.2.100mdk and related packages. (No gatos drivers or atitvout), add this to the lilo.conf
---
image=/boot/vmlinuz
label="TVout"
root=/dev/hda7
initrd=/boot/initrd.img
append="devfs=mount splash=silent XFree=tvout"
vga=788
read-only
---
connect the TV to the computer and reboot choosing the "TVout" option. I guess this may work with other distros too.

I will try to install the gatos "ati.2-4". I will post any success / failure to this thread.
