wireless drivers installed, card on lspci, "hardware NOT present"

So, I used NDISWRAPPER to install the drivers for my linksys WMP54g wireless card. Went smoothly. However, when I issue the command ndiswrapper -l , it informs me that the driver is installed, but the hardware is not present. This is simply not the case. lspci brings up the card. My first thought was that I had foolishly installed the wrong driver - but no, I've got a WMP54Gv2 and I installed bcmwl5.inf . I installed the file from CD, if it has any bearing on this at all. The distribution I'm using is MEPIS. Anybody out there more learned in the arts of this OS have some advice for me?

Thanks in advance,
Colin Downes

Go to OS Control Center, Network Settings, and set everything for wlan0 and wireless, restart. This should get everything going. SimplyMEPIS and ProMEPIS on mine still say's hardware not present, however it loads and works with no problems.
