I was wondering if anybody could help me out with URL(s) to where I could get to download free linux programs, from Games to Developer-Specific applications- Just any software category. Thanx.
sf.net would be the most popular place to find gpl applications (don't say "free"... you make it sound like you don't understand the concept of open source software). also freshmeat.net icewalkers.com etc... just google for what you want and ou'll proabbly find it.
Most linux distributions have a package manager that can show you all the software available to download, describe it to you and then install it for you. It depends on the distribution you are using.
