what would you use for localized chat

Hi all.

I need to decide which is the most popular IM in terms of L10n. I have worked with Kopete as well as Gaim and I know these two rock.

But from what I've read over at the Miranda IM borads, it does not have as much support for unicode as gaim and kopete.

Your take please. If you use any other IM, do drop in a line.
