It's not at all clear what you're trying to do. Are you the administrator of the xname.org name servers?
Are you trying to make those changes at the xname.org name servers? If not, where are you making those changes?
The authoritative name servers for gerlof.net (assuming that's a real domain name) are:
Code:
Name Server: DOCKS08.RZONE.DE
Name Server: SHADES18.RZONE.DE
If you want to change the authoritative name servers for the domain, you need to do that at the registrar (cronon.net) to the new name server you want to use (xname.org?)
then configure xname.org to do do what you want.
Is ns0.xname.org obfuscated? ns0.xname.org resolves, but ns1.xname.org does not.
Again, what are you actually trying to do?
EDIT: OK. I looked up xname.org. I'm not sure what they add to the picture. Your domain DNS is configured at rzone.de. Do they charge for their service? My registrar provides name services for the domains I have registered with them included in the cost of the registration fee. Also. they don't appear to be a registrar, only a free name service.
Anyway...as I said. Configuring a name service for your domain won't have any effect until you change the authoritative name server for the domain name to xname.org. You should configure first, then change at the registrar to avoid downtime.
