Angry linux freezes after setting up hostname


Dear All,
I am a newbee.
I am stuck in Red Hat 2.4.7 -10
Grub 0.90
After it starts boot it comes upto Setting up host name OK
And then does nothing
How do I recover my previous Configuration ?
Pl Help

ASC
try to go into your system through single user level(ie runlevel one)
in your lilo prompt
use linux 1
or in your grub screen
type e
and in the first of the 3 lines add a single 1 at the end
and i don't have to tell you what to do next
