Question

Is the boot partition (v.g., /boot) completely below the 1024 cylinder ? Can you give us some information about your computer, disk, partition, etc.?

I don't know if it is below the 1024th cylinder. It is a 486 that had Win 95 and Red Hat 6.1 dual booted. When I installed, I assumed that the installer would configure LILO correctly. It is not a problem to format the master boot record. If that is the easier option I will just do that. If so, what is the correct sytax in Dos to format the master boot record?
