I just installed Red Hat 7.1 and after the install was done it rebooted and where LILO normally appears it had only one L and then nothing else. What is the problem and how do I fix it.?
I don't know if it is below the 1024th cylinder. It is a 486 that had Win 95 and Red Hat 6.1 dual booted. When I installed, I assumed that the installer would configure LILO correctly. It is not a problem to format the master boot record. If that is the easier option I will just do that. If so, what is the correct sytax in Dos to format the master boot record?
