Least resource & least space using linux operating system ?

Hi Everyone,

Actually i am using the some what old

machine. so anyone guide me that which version of the

linux operating system will take very less resource

and which will use less space on my harddisk.

well and good if anyone give very suggestion to this

issue

Thanks for your message ,but i need operating system

like where i can install application in that and also which has

to installed in the harddisk

Anyother if you just help me out of this issue and also i will try

this DSL os its really good meggase for me

DSL can be installed to HD and you can add apps to it later. It is Debian based.

If you do not want to use DSL go with either Slackware/Vector, or Debian both run great any just about any hardware.
