Hello, I have some playstation games i used to have when i had a working psx. However, nostalgia got to me and i feel like playing some of the games again but without having to buy a new system.

So i installed pcsx and am using the petes video settings with the internal bios

But when im playing a game (such as final fantasy 7) the first video is SOO slow, sometimes the audio doesn't go right with the video, and finally when the game action comes, the music speeds up along with the game play. So while i was still playing i got into a battle but the whole program just quits.

Is this a known issue? and how can i fix this?

I use the GL plugin and with my 2600 it's ok but with EPSXE

btw, how about video card specs?
Mine is an Nvidia... does that make a difference?
