GPM compile problem.

I just installed CRUX 2.0 on my computer. I was working at getting gpm installed so I could run my serial mouse in the console. I am getting the following error when running make.

/bin/sh: line 1: no: command not found
make[1]: *** [/usr/src/gpm-1.20.0/doc/gpm.info] error 127
rm /usr/src/gpm-1.20.0/doc/gpm.texinfo
make[1]: Leaving directory /usr/src/gpm-1.20.0/doc'
make: *** [do-all] Error 1

Does anybody know what this means or has seen the same problem before?

I think it means that in the make file it can not find /bin/sh.

I guess I should say that I do have bash installed in the /bin directory and I have had other programs like links compile fine with the same statement as this for the first line in the makefile.
