Error installing "evas" from Enlightenment DR17 on Slackware 13.2 64Bit Multilib

Hi all -

I've searched most of the afternoon, and cannot find an answer to this one. I'm trying to build and install the Enlightenment DR17 software in Slack64 Multilib 13.1, and get this error when installing "evas":

Code:
/usr/lib/libjpeg.so: could not read symbols: File in wrong format
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[5]: *** [module.la] Error 1
make[5]: Leaving directory `/tmp/SBo/evas-0.9.9.063/src/modules/loaders/jpeg'
make[4]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[4]: Leaving directory `/tmp/SBo/evas-0.9.9.063/src/modules/loaders'
make[3]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/tmp/SBo/evas-0.9.9.063/src/modules'
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/tmp/SBo/evas-0.9.9.063/src'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/SBo/evas-0.9.9.063'
make: *** [all] Error 2
I've found a few threads on here where people have had a similar problem with other packages, but no definitive answer as to what the solution is. It does appear to be something to do with Multilib, though. The script in this thread:

Does not appear to work.

I'm using Sbopkg to install from Slackbuilds, if that helps.

Thanks,

D.
