Mozilla Thunderbird and Evolution are also good mail programs.

heard that kmail and evolution are great,
but i just happen to work with thunderbird and must say i like it, its simple and does the job well,
without all the calender options etc, that i personally never use.

and a big plus for me is that you can run it from both windows and linux, sharing my mailbox on a seperate fat 32 partition.

think its just a matter of small personal preference that will make the difference.

Thunderbird... For the junk filtering, it gets about 95% of my junkmail; and has only filtered one or two semi-useful messages into junk (they were spam, but spam I signed up for; University people...).

If you like programs that load and run fast but don't want to run a console app, you should try Balsa. It does all I need it to do.

I also use Evolution for my work account. It's full featured, high powered, etc., but is not as fleet of foot as Balsa.
